Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 (February 27, 2010) Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is an unassuming town that is located on the West Island, which is part of Montreal's island. People who don't understand they mistakenly believe they are on the West Island extends westward from Montreal. In fact this is not the case. In Brugel's case it was the nudge of an instructor in drama at high school which led her in the right direction. She was encouraged to take part in an audition in her school's production. The teacher who suggested that she go after a role in the school's annual show. She was awarded a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to go to York University's Theatre Program, where she graduated in 2000 with a degree of Bachelor's in Fine Arts. For the last twenty years, Brugel's work has been featured on both the large and small screen. The most notable was her attention when she won her role as Rita on the award-winning TV series The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the only Canadian cast member in the season 1 of the series and not seen much.
