Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, often known as Ashanti was born on the 13th of October on the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is an American singer-songwriter and actor. Ashanti was famous when she was when she was a teen. The year 2002 was when she was signed to Murder Inc. Records. She appeared in Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that same year. Tina Douglas' mother was teacher of dance, and Ken-Kaide Douglas, the father of Ashanti Douglas was a vocalist. She is the eldest and she has a Kenashia Shia who's her younger sister. Douglas named her Ashanti after Ghana's Ashanti Empire in which women held power and had power and influence. Douglas wanted Ashanti to be a part of this model. Ashanti made her debut album, self-titled album in 2002, via Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. label. The Declaration was Ashanti's fourth studio release, released on 3 June 2008. Hey Baby, After the Club (released on the radio and on digital formats) dropped on the 16th of October on the 16th of October, 2008. She starred in the film Christmas in the City and played Latasha the character Montclair from Army Wives. Aitch uses the Rock wit U song for Baby 10 March 2022.
