Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is an British and American sitarist. She also performs music. She was the very first and youngest female to win an award from the British House of Commons Award. Anoushka is the new star on the rise in Indian sitar. She is the student of Ravi Shankar, and the daughter of Ravi Shankar. She was the only female winner of the House of Commons Shield awarded by British Parliament in recognition of her talent and musical ability as an outstanding musician from music in Asian Arts.
